We’re back with a new and exciting Creative Youth competition to celebrate 30 years of touring unique open-air theatre!

Heartbreak has teamed up with local arts practitioner, Isabella James to create Find Your Voice, a new project that gives young writers a chance to see their work performed by professional actors during our nationwide 2021 tour!

  So what’s it all about? Well, we’d like you to create and submit a modern fairy-tale inspired by The Brothers Grimm. That’s a beginning, a middle and an end all from your imagination! Let your creativity go crazy, but keep it to 500 words or less. Not that keen on writing? Why not download our handy storyboard and draw your story out instead? You can do that here and then upload your ideas into our entry form. Just make sure you keep the file to 1MB. Every submission will be read by the creative team at Heartbreak and then a special guest judge will choose the final winner. That lucky person will have their story turned into a script, brought to life by Heartbreak’s professional actors and toured all over the UK in Summer 2021. They will also be invited along with their family as VIP guests to watch their very own story on stage!  The competition is open to young writers across the UK who are in Y3-6/P4-P7. We are also encouraging entries from non-school attenders who fall into this age bracket.  Submission is now CLOSED. Thank you for your submissions!
