Maddy graduated from London University in 1987 and then went onto drama school . In 1991 in association with Peter Mimmack, she raised the curtain on Heartbreak Productions and in so doing realised a long held ambition to create theatre in the open air; a passion heavily influenced by childhood trips to The Minack Theatre in West Cornwall.
Peter developed an interest in acting at Newcastle University while studying surveying. He then trained at the Arts Educational School London and has gained extensive experience in theatre through forming Heartbreak Productions in 1991. The early years were spent on tour but in the last decade Peter has focused on directing.
Directing credits include a vareity of Shakespeare plays and a host of newly adapted classics. He remains fascinated by stories and how to create passionate, inventive and fun productions. Peter’s delight in making a connection with the audience and experimenting with layered storytelling has led to Heartbreak’s unique style.
Peter is also developing a film branch of Heartbreak called ‘Playview Productions’.
